TEEM hosts a Peer Recovery Support Specialist Mentorship Training class that helps prepare participants for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) Peer Certification exam and training. This class is free to participate in, though there are some stipulations.

YOU MUST HAVE:

Six months of active recovery

An ability to articulate your recovery story

A high standard of integrity

GED/High School Diploma

A desire to help other

COURSE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Must refrain from fraternization with current, past, or present participants

Submit to random UAs

Adhere to a strict attendance policy

Complete a 10-week course

Attend a 90-minute workshop once a week

Complete 8 hours of co-facilitating recovery groups

Complete 8 hours of volunteering with TEEM
